About the industry:
Specialty coffee is booming! The gourmet coffee industry is undergoing its most rapid growth in history, an explosive $5 billion industry whose growth shows no sign of slowing down. The American National Coffee Association reports that in 2004, 77% of the U.S. population were specialty coffee drinkers as compared with 2001, which showed 62% of the population consumed these types of beverages. Once coffee drinkers have tried specialty coffee, there is no going back. The simple fact is; specialty coffee tastes better!
